Creating Confident Children

At The Wallace High School Preparatory Department and Pre-Prep, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional primary and pre-preparatory education in a warm, inclusive environment.

Our vision, Creating Confident Children, shapes a school experience where pupils are encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We follow a holistic, whole-child approach that balances high academic standards with strong pastoral care, tailored learning support, and a deep commitment to developing each child’s confidence, and creativity.

Children benefit from a rich and varied curriculum that includes extensive sporting, musical, and artistic opportunities, alongside an exciting outdoor learning programme that promotes curiosity, resilience, and wellbeing. Our distinctive location affords pupils rich opportunities for outdoor education, complemented by direct access to the extensive resources of the Grammar School.

Underpinned by our CORE values—Commitment, Opportunity, Respect, and Excellence—Wallace Prep offers a nurturing, future-focused education where every child is known, valued, and inspired.

We hope this website gives you a glimpse of the vibrant life at our school—but nothing compares to experiencing it in person. We’d be delighted to welcome you for a visit and show you all that Wallace Prep has to offer. To arrange a tour, please contact the office on 028 9267 2311 or email prep@wallacehigh.net.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.

✨ Still Dreaming in Technicolour... Hard to believe it’s already been one week since the curtain went up on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat! 🌈✨ The energy in the room was absolutely electric, and honestly, we're still hummimg "Any Dream Will Do" on loop. 🎭 Take us back to the lights, the laughter, and that incredible finale. It was definitely a night for the memory books!
The energy was electric before Easter as Pre-Prep to P7 took part in some Easter themed Relay Races. The competition was fierce for those precious House Points! From egg and spoon races to bunny hops, we all had a fantastic time. Huge congratulations to all our Houses for the incredible sportsmanship and a big well done to our House Captains for helping everyone take part! 🐰🥚 #EasterRelays #HousePoints #WallacePrep
P3 had lots of fun looking at Spring birds and designing nests. Their favourite part was making their very own chocolate nests! 🪺
Hop into spring! 🐰🌷 Our Pre-Prep pupils have been busy little bunnies, getting stuck into some wonderful Easter crafting.
🌿🌲 Forest School Fun! 🌲🌿 Last week at Forest School, we took on an exciting challenge… who could build the tallest stick pile? 🪵📏 The children worked brilliantly together, gathering sticks, balancing carefully, and testing out their ideas. There was lots of teamwork, problem-solving and perseverance as towers wobbled, toppled and were rebuilt even stronger! 💪
Huge congratulations to Elizabeth in Pre Prep, Willa in P3, and Jennifer in P7 for winning our International Women’s Day fact file competition! 🌟💜 A big thank you to everyone who took part. We loved reading all about the women you admire. After Easter, come along and see our Hall of Fame, where all of your fantastic fact files will be on display! ✨
We're still buzzing from this morning’s performance! ☁️✨ One down, one to go. See you all tomorrow night for the evening show! #Showtime #Joseph #WallacePrep
Check out these sneak peek photos of some of our talented KS2 cast in action. They've all been working so hard to bring this classic story to life and we are officially blown away! #SchoolProduction #WallacePrep #Joseph
10 P7 pupils took part in the @lisburncastlereaghcc Sports Hall Athletics Competition. All pupils took part in a wide range of track and field events. Well Done to everyone who took part!
